It can both tilt (up to 45 degrees) and extend (up to 6") to adjust to any situation and any style of fishing. The Digital Maximizer works by controlling the draw of power at variable speeds. It eliminates wasted energy, extends battery life and gives you more time on the water. This trolling motor used 12 volts to give you 55lbs of thrust at the end of a 52" shaft.

The Minn Kota Riptide transom mount trolling motor steps up to the rigors of saltwater and never backs down. This version features 55 pounds of thrust and a 52-inch shaft. This motor features five variable speeds (forward and reverse) and an edge mounting bracket. It also comes with the Weedless Wedge 2 prop, which pushes weeds away and takes on the thick stuff without battery-draining chopping and hacking. It's backed by a two-year limited warranty.
One-Hand Stow
A remarkably simple, one-hand stow mechanism gets Riptide Transom in and out of the water in no time. Just pull up and forward to stow the motor with no buttons or release levers. Then when it's time to go, use the easy-access thumb release to deploy Riptide Transom into any of ten different positions.
Steering Tension Control
The innovative new tension collar above the Riptide Transom mount allows you to adjust steering tension precisely to your desired level. Keep it loose for effortless steering or tighten it down to keep Riptide Transom in place--which allows for true vertical stowing.

Advanced Corrosion Protection
Riptide motors are impervious to saltwater's corrosive effects, thanks to premium-grade marine alloys and aluminum upper arms. Metals undergo a rigid multi-step cleaning process before being anodized or coated with a special zinc dichromate armor plating. All components are then finished with a durable 5-mil TGIC polyester, powder coat paint.
